NPIRL at the Swedish Embassy in Second Life

How many times have you heard the name PetGirl (Tina) Bergman in this blog? Well if you think I am going on about her and duplicate myself to much like an old drunk you better stop read this blog because this will go on:) She is fantastic person that really fights for SL from a residential point of view. And she is a good friend too! Btw Tina will be the one who marry Butterfly and me this summer!

However today at noon Swedish time (3 AM SLT) her scripted NPRIL (Not Possible In Real Life) installation infront of the Second House of Sweden (The official embassy of Sweden in SL) will start to show up. Piece by piece the installation will grow and on June 6 (Swedens National day) it will portray the Swedish flag!

The flag is not a silly little tiny, normal-sized one like the one I have on my RL patio! Tinas will be 30x48 meter (168 prims)!

The flag will terminate itself at 1 pm on June 6. Dont miss this unique NPIRL-installation and if you like it please tell her, Tina is not like some snobs in here having the wee-wee line in their profile "Dont expect me to answer all IMs, I am so busy and important that my IMs get capped"

The installation is made by Tina (PetGirl) Bergman (concept and performance) and Deirdre Boyer (scripting).

Swedish designer/artist/marketing specialist Tina (PetGirl) Bergman has been in SL since February 2005 and has made quite a name by very actively pursuing both short- and longterm projects.

Art projects/installations, such as "Pixels In The Wind" (during Burning Life 2006 - and "Dance and Crime Scene" - at Osprey Therian´s - Photography Studio (the first hit-and-run art burglary in SL - - Look for Monday, November 13, 2006). "Drive safe in Second Life" (March 2007), an interactive multimedia perfomance artwork, occured both in Second Life and the Second Citizen forums.

More about the Swedish Embassy in Second Life

In May 2007, that Sweden had become the second country to open an embassy in Second Life. Run by the Swedish Institute, the embassy serves to promote Sweden's image and culture, rather than providing any real or virtual services. The Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Carl Bildt, stated on his blog that he hoped he would get an invitation to the grand opening.
